- they are a fire hazard (sighhh) and;
- they are messy (you’d think he was the one who vaccuums …).
Try as I might I cannot get him to relent … so an artificial tree it is (after almost 30 years of marriage I’ve learned which battles to pick). When I bought this tree back in the day, the concept of pre-lit artificial trees was new (and expensive) so I improvised. I wrapped each branch with lights and waaa-laaa a “pre-lit” Christmas Tree :).

These are such great inspiration for next year! Which one do you prefer? And if you have a non-traditional tree in your home, I’d love to hear about it!

It took me a while, but I put up three trees this year. They're all artificial - one is white |(& ore-lit, yay!) and decorated with different coloured balls. The other two are the traditional green non-pre-lit type. One is decorated with snowflakes and purple, blue, white, and silver ornaments, and the other is decorated with all the ornaments from when I was a kid, plus some newer handmade ornaments. Oh, and there's also my two mini trees I bought in Bruges in 2006. And there's the ceramic tree my mom made too - is that too many trees?!
ReplyDeleteThe Santa's Workshop #2 tree is way over the top, but it's so colourful and fun :-)
Love the tree made up of books... only sorry that they're getting slightly squished! Very creative and endearing selection!
