Friday Find - August 19th

We were out for dinner last night at a local patio.  I love eating outdoors and we often do so at home.  Here are some lovely photos of outdoor dining spot, all of which I'd love to enjoy a meal at.

We're off to a friends cottage this weekend for a much anticipated couples getaway (aka par-tay).

Got me thinking about how serene and calming cottages can be (unless of course you're at the cottage I'm going to this weekend LOL).

Friday Find – July 15

In my Dabble browsing this week, I came across this fainting sofa from Urban Outfitters.  I love it in the aubergine velvet.  Just saying “aubergine” and “fainting sofa” in the same sentence is giving me a serious case of the vapours. 

“Why, I do declare, I believe I will have to retire to the veranda. 

Oh dahling, would you fetch me a pitcher of mint julep.”

Flipping through the June 2011 issue of Elle Decor, I came across this table in an article about Paul Loebach, a furniture designer.

Paul was named one New York Times “Nifty 50” in January of 2010.  I like the unique design, a modern piece with a nod to the spiral turned legs of earlier furniture styles.  A conversation piece in anyone’s home, I’m sure!
